Hi there, I’m Matthew and I love playing the guitar in my free time. I am passionate about the classical guitar and its ability to play an eclectic range of music. I started with electric guitar before really getting into Classical and Brazilian guitar after meeting my teacher in Melbourne.

Nowadays, I adore Brazilian and Spanish guitar music (my favourite all-time artist is the great Baden Powell!), however I am also a fan of new music from modern indie and psychedelic bands - including King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard, Mild High Club, Mac DeMarco etc.

I enjoy creating classical guitar reworks of my favourite modern tracks. The classical guitar is really such a special instrument, with its intimate tone, range of colours/timbres and polyphonic nature allowing it to distil down multi-instrumental tracks into standalone solo pieces.
